We are holding our first farm festival on the weekend of October 3 & 4th.
Come and visit our farm and enjoy a delicious dinner with other members of our vegetable delivery service!
You do not need to participate in all the events listed below. You can just come and see how the vegetables you eat every day are grown on our farm.
Saturday, October 3rd
15:00 - meet fellow members at old folk house (kominka) Cafe Sabou Siga (3 mins walk from Farm) followed by a farm tour & onsen hot spring (optional)
18:00 - dinner at Cafe Sabou Siga. Enjoy delicious dinner made with farm-fresh veggies prepared by chef Yukari Tanaka who normally runs a cafe restaurant in Sirokane, Tokyo. Local wine and sake will be served.
10:00 - meet at Cafe Sabou Siga. You can harvest vegetables to take home with you.
12:00 - lunch at "Hosobara". Handmade buckwheat noodles.
We can arrange accommodations for you at one of the local B&B places. They are all Japanese fashioned old folk houses. Prices vary from 3,500 yen to 7,000 yen. Discounted
price for children and infants.
Dinner: 5,000 yen/adult, 1500 yen/child
Accommodations: 3,500 - 7,000 yen
Lunch: approximately 1,500 yen
Onsen hot spring: 450 yen
We are about 4 hours from Tokyo by car and 3 hours by train (Azusa Express).
Although we recommend travelling by car since public transportation to/from our neighborhood is very limited, we will provide transportation to/from Matsumoto station to those who come by
We will charge approximately 1,000 yen per family for gas for transportation to/from Matsumoto station.
Although Akira and I both speak English, the main language spoken will be Japanese.
